SUCCESS IS NO ACCIDENT

BBN Members:
I am trying to drag my hidebound law firm into the 21st century. To that end, I am looking at Point of Sale ("POS") software and hardware that make sense for my business. In short, it is not a busy retail store, but I am trying to make it easier for my clients to pay for services in order to avoid a high number in receivables. The old retainer and pay by cheque or cash method is hardly used by anyone anymore, so going to a POS system allows my clients to use their debit or credit cards, especially for smaller transactions like wills, notary services, etc., increases my cash flow and reduces unpaid work for sending out reminders and making collection calls.
I have no idea where to begin, so I’d appreciate any advice that any of you can give. I need a simple, easy-to-use system, not a bunch of bells and whistles, and I am calling on the strength of BBN’s experience to make the best choice.
Any help that any of you can provide would be most appreciated.
Yours very truly,
